Welcome to our Marshall Magnet Elementary Band Blog. The purpose of this site is to keep families informed of band information, expectations, and cool apps and websites that are useful to the students. This blog can also be a useful place for students to communicate with each other about the topics and music they are learning about in band.
This past week, I asked the Intermediate Band students to look for a metronome app to improve their ability to keep a steady beat while playing their music.

Dr. Beat is my favorite, but any app that keeps a consistent tempo will work just fine.
Intermediate Band will be traveling to Prescott, AZ with the Sechrist Band on November 12, 2013 to perform Patriotic Selections at the Veteran's Hospital and at Las Fuentes Assisted Living Community to honor our Veterans. More details for this trip will follow.
I am also working on a first concert for our Beginning Band during late November.
